Visio – How to turn off shadow on lines

Do the lines in your Visio diagram have a shadow? If so, here’s how to get rid of it:

1. Select everything on the page.
2. Right-click and select Format Shape.
3. Click the Effects button. It’s next to Fill Bucket.
4. Click Shadow Options.
5. Set Transparency to 100%

Another way is to:

1. Select everything on the page.
2. Right-click and select Format Shape.
3. Click the Effects button. It’s next to Fill Bucket.
4. In Presets, click No Shadow.

Visio 2007

1. Select everything on the page.
2. On the Home tab, click the Shadow down arrow.
3. Click Shadow Options.
4. Set Transparency to 100%
