MadCap Flare: How to Add An Image to the About Box

In this MadCap Flare technical writing tutorial, we’ll look at how to add an image to the About box in the output window. When you click the icon, your image is displayed in the corner. A nice touch and a way to highlight your brand.

MadCap Flare: How to Add An Image to the About Box

  1. Open a Standard or Mobile project
  2. Select the About
  3. Click Include About in output.
  4. Click the Browse
  5. In the Open dialog box, find and select the image file that you want to use for the About A preview of the image is shown.
  6. Click Save.

About Box: Changing the Default MadCap Icon

You can change the default MadCap icon that users click to open the “About” box  image.

  1. In the skin, select the Styles
  2. In the Styles section, expand the Toolbar Item
  3. Under it, click Logo.
  4. Select the Property Groups
  5. In the Properties section, click in the cell to the right of Icon.
  6. Select Browse for Image.
  7. In the dialog that opens, find and double-click the image that you want to
  8. Click Save.
